Daisy Van Der Zijden is the winner of Atim’s Top 60 Masters 2022, the Oscars of the Visual Arts
Daisy Van Der Zijden is a 24 years old self-taught artist based in The Netherlands, specializing in photorealistic drawings. Her passion is connected strongly with the medium of pencil. Using graphite, pastel and colored pencil she give life to her drawings. She really enjoy the process of drawing portraits and wildlife art.
As a result ,she has become an award winning artist, chosen by The Top 60 Masters 2022 organized by Art Tour International. The award ceremony happened on June 17, 2022.
It was announced in June that she is one of 60 artists to have won the award. She have received the award in New York, with a walk on the red carpet.
The award, also known as the ‘art Oscar’, could open new doors for Daisy. She taught herself to draw and mainly makes ‘realistic’ work.
In New York she won a prize with a drawing of a unicorn.
She has miles to go and this award is a perfect start for her journey as an artist.
