Purrfect Tea Breaks Record as First Black Owned Bubble Tea Shop on the East Coast

Purrfect Tea, a bubble tea shop located in Waycross Georgia can officially be recognized as the only Black Owned tea shop on the East Coast, one of TWO black owned bubble tea shops in the country, only rivaled by a location in California.

Owned by Isaac King and partner, Ashley Cothern, Purrfect Tea is climbing to the top and breaking boundaries, especially in their rural area. Why is this significant? As a country, the challenges faced by POC’S is still prevalent, and for two young, Black individuals, even more so. We wish continued success and growth for this company, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store in 2022!
