An Interview with Tom Egger: Balancing Creativity and Enterprise
Klagenfurt, Austria – In a recent conversation, Austrian musician and entrepreneur Thomas Egger a.k.a Tom Egger opened up about his evolving career, public recognition, and recent online misconceptions.
Born on January 16, 2006, in Klagenfurt, Egger began DJing and producing electronic dance music at just 13 years old. Reflecting on his early start, he noted that music has always been his primary identity. Over the years, he performed at clubs and festivals internationally, building a reputation in the house music scene for his energetic stage presence and distinctive sound. Despite his later transition into business, he emphasized that he is still more widely known as a musician.
In 2024, Egger entered the technology and real estate sector, joining Egger & Co, a Delaware-based company, where he now serves as Chief Executive Officer. He described the move as a strategic decision driven by long-term vision, while maintaining that creativity remains central to his life.
During the interview, Egger also addressed an apparent listing error on IMDb, where he is credited as a producer of the film Happy Christmas, a film released in 2014. “I would have been only eight years old when the movie was released. I am listed as an associate producer of the movie, but I have no idea who added me to that credit.”. He clarified that he has no involvement with the film and no connection to its production. “I have no idea how that happened,” he said, confirming that the credit is inaccurate.
Egger explained that his only role in television production has been as an executive producer of a children’s animated TV series “Noah’s Park”, where his responsibilities were limited to executive oversight rather than hands on creative production.
Looking ahead, Egger shared that he intends to continue balancing business leadership with his passion for music, underscoring his commitment to growth in both industries.
