New Independent Film Sharlotte’s Web Wraps Production with Star-Studded Local Talent

ATLANTA, GA – May 14, 2025 — The independent film scene in Georgia continues to thrive as Sharlotte’s Web, a powerful new drama exploring love, loss, and redemption, has officially wrapped production. The project, led by director Reginald Cineus and penned by writer Kandis Henderson, features a dynamic cast and crew comprised of rising stars and seasoned talent from across the region.

At the heart of the story is Kai Lynn as Adult Louis, whose emotional journey anchors the film’s narrative. The ensemble cast includes Damien Michael Chase as Bryson, Michael James as SyDon Murray, Lucretia Johnson as Charlene, and Gayle in the title role of Sharlotte. The film navigates deep generational relationships, with characters portrayed at multiple life stages — a standout being Kimberly Wilson, who impressively plays both Baby Louise and Young Charlene.

“This film brings real-life issues to the screen in a way that’s raw, honest, and healing,” said writer and executive producer Kandis Henderson, who collaborated closely with writer consultant and co-executive producer Anngeannette Pinkston. “It’s a story about family, forgiveness, and fighting for those you love.”

The production tapped into Atlanta’s vibrant creative community, showcasing talent like Angela Pozniak (Draya), Tina Nixon (Bria), and Cecilia “CICI” Fingers (Olivia). Emerging voices like Rashaad Byrd and Mario Byrd take on the roles of rap duo OUTTA INK, blending music and performance in scenes filmed on location in Austell and Conyers.

Behind the scenes, the crew brought industry-grade experience to the indie set. Cinematographer Barrington Marson led camera operations with support from Phi Hutnh, while sound was helmed by Troy Linch. Set design and wardrobe were directed by Pinkston, whose creative fingerprint is seen throughout the film.

Extras like Gina Philip, Julie Hardy, and Josh Gaffney added depth to scenes including pivotal moments set in a bank, pool party, and 911 dispatch center. The production’s collaborative spirit extended to location scouts, caterers, and local assistants who brought passion and authenticity to every detail.

“This was a true community effort,” said Cineus. “Everyone brought something real to the table. That’s what’s going to make Sharlotte’s Web resonate with audiences.”

With post-production underway and music tracks “COMING SOON,” the film is slated for festival submission later this year, with an eye toward streaming release in early 2026.

Special thanks go to local supporters including Kenya & Marciano Shay of Duluth, Nataki Montgomery of Conyers, and ACHI Studios in Austell.

As Georgia cements its role as a film industry hub, Sharlotte’s Web stands as a testament to the power of independent storytelling rooted in real people, real places, and real heart.
