Brian Condenanza: “I Do It For Sport”
Curious about blockchain and crypto ? when we researched on YouTube to learn more about this technology, we started with TedX talks as they make everything a little easier to understand. We were impressed at the knowledge of many speakers, yet we couldn’t really comprehend this technology until I got to Brian Condenanza’s TEDx talk. He had done an amazing work at explaining this technology, and thus we contacted him for an interview.
Brian Condenanza is an entrepreneur from Argentina, and has worked for numerous companies, while today he is working as the CTO of Bidao, a decentralized crypto and finance startup.
Gracefully, he accepted our request for an interview and answered our questions as he explained more about his vision and thoughts on business in India, crypto and his previous experience in other businesses.
News24hours staff : Hi Brian, currently you are working as the CTO of Bidao. Cay you detail about your career growth?
Brian : Absolutely. I have been extremely lucky to be able to grow my career fast. I was always good at finding how things work and find what others are doing well, and I was able to work with different companies by doing the same, simply understanding the market and try to find the direction it was going. I also focused especially in the blockchain industry as it is a new industry and I always had in mind that I was going to focus especially in newer industries as I can easily expand and have more relevance in a new industry than an old one.
Today, I see that only four or five other industries have the same kind of potential growth and people are turning their backs on them.
One of my best friends, Emma, is an Olympian and said that business is like a sport and I agree, I do it for sport. I enjoy the challenge and the small victories I can have, but at the end of the day, life is way more than just work.
News24hours staff : What do you think about the landscape of internet business in India?
Brian : India is a great place to do business with and has some of the hardest working and smartest people. I definitely want to do business with more people from India. Tech wise, I doubt that you can have another country with the number of highly educated people like India.
In terms of financial technology, India has many great startups that are tackling big problems that can later on be applied into other countries and some of the hottest unicorns. Yet, I think some of the fintech laws in India are a little too complex for most entrepreneurs to follow and make it easier for bigger enterprises to play in and they have a big advantage in that way.
News24hours staff : In your TEDx talk, you have mentioned the different uses of blockchain technology in everyday things. When do you think you will see this?
Brian : I think the time will come when we are ready for it. My TEDx talk was hopefully a call of action for many entrepreneurs in other areas of business that can use blockchain to create a more open and fair world. It has a lot to do with implementation of technology and developers applying them into their systems and then having users adopt it. It can take a while. But for someone like me, it is easy to see that at least right now we have the tools to make the world a better place by having this tool of transparency. It will come into mainstream with education, work and building up into real things that people can use. Like I’ve said, I think it will be a golden age, the golden age of blockchain.
News24hours staff : Heard about your opportunity to participate in UN Youth Assembly at the United Nations Headquarters in NYC, with the role of Delegate of his native country Argentina. Can you share the experience?
Brian : Being in that famous building, meeting so many great people from all over the globe, was wonderful. I have been very lucky to have had that opportunity of meeting so many great people there. I took some time to look at the ceiling and just at the room in general. As a fan of history it was really cool to think that it is probably one of the only places in the world where you had presidents and kings of different decades sitting where you were sitting. Extremely surreal experience.you that you were nuts.
It was a big honor and one of the best memories I have had so far in my life. If you have told me when I was 14 or so that I was going to go the UN at some point in the future, I would have told
News24hours staff : What are your future goals?
Brian : Just keeping active and busy, trying to get into more industries and hopefully having good health. I have many things that I would like to do in life but not sure if they are goals – I have good health, food, a great family and friends and a bed to sleep in, honestly I have more than enough and even when I work hard, it is most of a thing that I enjoy rather than being something I do to get something.
