Julien Labrousse, the astonishing French Architect

Since the age of 20, Julien Labrousse has launched innovative projects in sectors as diverse as culture, real estate, architecture, entertainment. He stands out for being a business leader in all his activities, with a unique dynamic that allows it to stand out. In 1998, he has set up the production company Les Films 9 dedicated to the production of music videos and short films. For 3 years, the company invited young filmmakers who produced intense quality work. Subsequently, he moved to Asia from 2001 to 2004, where he set up his web agency. The company relied on the expertise of the French to gain new customers in Indonesia and China. It also offered its services in the European market that represented 20% of its projects.

It was in 2005, he bought the Hotel du Nord with Marie Peltier, this historical place which formerly gave its name to the famous French movie by Marcel Carné. When he bought it, the place was a Parisian Folk scene where occur Dave Van Ronk, Patti Smith, Corey Harris. This is the beginning of a new story for Julien Labrousse, who will promote the cultural wealth of historical places such as Hotel du Nord. The operation was a success, in 2013, goodwill is sold while the walls are kept in order to continue the operations of the theater.

In 2007, he created the Chacha Club with producer Thomas Langmann. This place is both a Parisian private club, restaurant and concert venue in which Chanel, Agnès b, Vogue and many other celebrities organized events. Great world renowned artists performed there: the Kills, Leny Kravitz, Benjamin Biolay, Pharell Williams, Pink …

In 2009, Julien Labrousse’s artistic ambitions led him to the renovation of Trianon, in association with the producer Abel Nahmias. Studio Combo (the architectural firm he founded in 2008) oversees the transformation of this historic Parisian theater that will be totally revamped. Since its reopening in 2010, the place has been reborn and stands out as a major stage in town. Major artists performed there such as Rihanna, Lana del Rey, Tricky, Nick Cave, Ed Sheeran, Cat Power etc
To optimize the renovation of the places he wants to promote, Julien Labrousse creates the Studio Combo architecture firm in 2008. It undertakes the works of the properties of Julien Labrousse (among others Trianon and the Elysée Montmartre ) and external projects.

Already owner of Trianon, Julien Labrousse naturally intends to acquire the Elysee Montmartre. He teams up again with producer Abel Nahmias and becomes owner of the premises in 2014. This legendary concert hall in Paris burnt in 2011: the built work is underway, with Studio Combo and collaboration of the set designer Antoine Fontaine. Together, they plan to keep the original 19th century architecture.
